what drives our programs

Coverdale Distinctives

Vision

To form and equip new generations of Christian scholars and leaders who will use their education and influence for the good of the university, the church, and the world.

Mission

Christian intellectual formation for the students, faculty, and community of Princeton.

Our Values

CONVIVIALITY

Friendship, hospitality, food and drink are central to intellectual life, not incidental. Christian life is life together, so Christian intellectual life is always a life lived in company.

RIGOR

We seek the flourishing of the university in its God-honoring work of inquiry. In the broad spirit of Chrsitian humanism, we see the task of the academy as one originally founded by and for the church.

PIETY

Christian scholars are called to a special measure of humility, courage, and love. We seek always to be enlightening with wisdom those who teach and those who learn that, rejoicing in the knowledge of God’s truth, they may worship God and serve him from generation to generation.
